Family Connections HQ #2 – Excelsior District – Tenant Improvement

Arana Group was contracted to deliver a comprehensive renovation and expansion of an existing 4,213-square-foot, single-story CMU building with wood bow trusses. The project transformed the structure into a modern, two-story, 5,255-square-foot Family Resource Center designed to support community services and early childhood education.
The scope included complete tenant improvements to accommodate a new licensed preschool facility (serving up to 30 children), as well as flexible programming space for family and support services. The building was fully upgraded with new mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems, including fire sprinklers and alarms to support the revised layout and code requirements.
Exterior upgrades featured new stucco finishes, electrical infrastructure improvements, and the installation of new glass façades at both the front and rear elevations, enhancing natural light and creating a more welcoming and functional public-facing space.
